The walking stick
The warm up. Small, strange, and the first thing that makes a nervous kid lean in instead of back.
On the road since 2003
About Rizzo's Wildlife World
A traveling live animal show for homes, schools, camps and community events.
Rizzo’s Wildlife World has been bringing live animals to homes, schools, camps and community events since 2003. You may know us by our earlier names, Rizzo’s Reptiles and Rizzo’s Reptile Discovery. The animals, the educators and the hands-on approach are the same.
A traveling show, by design
We are a travel only company. There is no wildlife center to visit. Instead, our educators load up seven to eight animals and bring the whole show to you, anywhere in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania, with Connecticut available by request.
Licensed and insured
Rizzo’s Wildlife World is operated by Rizzo’s Wildlife Discovery LLC. We are licensed by the USDA, permitted by NJ Fish & Wildlife, and fully insured.
How we handle our animals
Our animals are rescued or captive born, used to people, well fed and comfortable. Our educators keep control of every animal 100% of the time and tell your group which animals are safe to touch and how to pet them properly. Most of all, we want kids to walk away curious about wildlife instead of afraid of it.
Who shows up
The roster
The bullfrog
Amphibian 101, plus the reason we ask everyone to keep their hands clean and dry.
The turtle
Shell up close. Everyone finds out how it is built and why it is not a house she can walk away from.
The bearded dragon
The friendliest face in the crate, and usually the first animal a shy kid is willing to touch.
The monitor lizard
Four feet of claws, tongue and attitude. Kids get the size lesson they will repeat all week.
The rat snake
A New Jersey native. Great for the talk about which snakes actually live in your own backyard.
The green tree python
The one the parents photograph. Bright green, perfectly coiled, and completely still.
The Burmese python
The finale. The big one comes out last, and the room goes quiet before it goes loud.
